ECOWAS National Office

The National ECOWAS Desk within the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development is geared with the responsibility of improving the visibility of ECOWAS by showcasing the achievements, challenges, activities and programs and projects being undertaken in Sierra Leone on behalf of ECOWAS. The office facilitates the ratification and domestication of Protocols and Conventions; monitors the effective implementation of protocols and conventions; Participate in the formulation and implementation of strategies and programs of regional integration and South- South Cooperation. The department strengthens National systems to support the implementation of regional integration programs and organizes sensitization campaigns to promote visibility on integration issues.

The ECOWAS National Office maintains collaboration and working relationship with institutions, organizations, focal points/ on issues relating to integration and facilitates the preparation of regular report on integrational programs.
