DEVELOPMENT COORDINATION ASSISTANCE OFFICE

The Development Coordination Assistance Office (DACO) is responsible for mobilizing external resources for the implementation of the National Development Plan (NDP) in collaboration with other relevant Ministry. The department conducts Consultative Group meetings; Round Table Discussions as well as ad hoc bilateral meetings that are convened to present the funding requirements for the NDP. We also mobilize external resource strategy that is developed for each region (Asian, Gulf and emerging donors. The CPIA works with MOF to ensure that scores are improved which lead to increased allocation for Sierra Leone on IDA, EDF and ADF.

The Department facilitates regular and structured dialogue between Government and Development Partners and coordinates the implementation of the Development Cooperation Framework (DCF). We domesticate International Aid Effectiveness Principles and agreements (The New Deal & Busan Partnership Framework) and maintain the Development Assistance Database (DAD) and reporting on Aid inflows.

DACO serves as Principal Liaison for Government Donor Relations.
