Philip Tarawallie

Mr. Philip Abdulrahman Tarawallie is a seasoned Auditor with over fourteen years of experience working as an Internal Auditor for the Ministry of Finance Sierra Leone. During his tenure at the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Tarawallie has gone through several trainings on Internal Auditing like; Audit Fundamental and Techniques,
Personnel Audit, Procurement Audit, Developing an Internal Audit Strategy, Management Accounting Information and Its Role and Contribution to Good Corporate Governance and Financial Reporting both Internally and Externally and Risk based Internal Auditing etc.
Mr. Philip Abdulrahman Tarawallie was one of the first set of Internal Auditors recruited and posted by the Ministry of Finance to various MDAs to start public sector internal auditing function and to ensures these MDAs develop and maintain a good system of internal controls and working effectively and adherence to policies rules and regulations in performing their mandates. During this time Mr. Tarawallie was posted to various MDAs such as; National Civil Registration Authority (NCRA), Sierra Leone Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SLIEPA), Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources and presently the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development to carry on with the internal audit function. At the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, Mr. Tarawallie represented the Ministry at the 2024 Audit Committee Meeting of the Mano River
Union (MRU). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Njala University Sierra Leone, Certificate in Internal Audit Techniques from the Institute of Public Management and Administration (IPAM) – University of Sierra Leone and a Master of Business Administration in Finance (Auditing & Taxation) from Njala University Sierra Leone and also a Certificate in Financial Management and Internal Auditing from the
International Management Training Consortium (IMTC) Ghana
