MoPED and SLANGO Kick Off NGO Week with Health Walk in Freetown

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MoPED), in collaboration with the Sierra Leone Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (SLANGO), has officially launched NGO Week with a vibrant Health Walk in Freetown.
Running from February 24th to 28th, 2025, this year’s NGO Week is themed “Empowering Communities for Sustainable Development.” The event celebrates the remarkable contributions of over 600 NGOs and non-profit organizations across Sierra Leone, recognizing the dedication of staff, volunteers, and donors who work tirelessly to drive positive change.
As part of the commemoration, there will be an exhibition showcasing the transformative impact of NGOs nationwide. The highlight of the week will be a special recognition ceremony where His Excellency the President and the Honorable Vice President will honor and appreciate the invaluable role of NGOs in national development.
Stay tuned for more updates as we celebrate the power of collective action in building a better Sierra Leone!
