Abie Elizabeth Kamara

Biography

Abie is the Director of the Development Assistance Coordination Office in the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development of Sierra Leone. Abie Elizabeth Kamara is a development planner with over 29 years of experience in planning and economic development, working with both Governmental and International organisations. As a civil servant, Abie has hands on experience in development issues, managing for results, coordination Government-donor relations and development cooperation issues, formulation of national development plans and elections preparations.

She is the g7+ National Focal Point and Adviser to the g7+ Chair and Co-Chair of the international Dialogue on Peacebuilding and Statebuilding (IDPS) since June 2014.   Ms Kamara is the current President of the g7+ Women’s Forum and Board Member of the g7+ Foundation.

 

Abie holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics, a Post Graduate Diploma in Economic Policy and Management and Master’s degree in Economic Policy and Management with excellent written and oral English skills. Ms Kamara has undertaken several professional and leadership training programmes on economic policy and women in leadership.
