Minister Kenyeh Barlay, ECOWAS Ambassador Lead Stakeholders’ Sensitisation in Tonkolili

The Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Ms. Kenyeh Barlay, alongside the ECOWAS Resident Ambassador, Mr. John Azumah, and representatives of relevant line Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), is spearheading a Stakeholders’ Sensitisation Campaign on ECOWAS Interventions in Sierra Leone at the Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology (EBKUST), Magburuka, Tonkolili District.
The engagement forms part of ECOWAS’ ongoing efforts to promote regional and economic integration, peace, development, and shared prosperity across member states.
The sensitisation is part of a week-long nationwide campaign covering Kambia, Koinadugu, Tonkolili (Magburuka), and Kono districts, aimed at bringing ECOWAS closer to the people and strengthening collaboration with key national institutions. The initiative seeks to deepen public understanding of ECOWAS’ role in advancing peace and security, good governance, regional trade, and sustainable development across West Africa.
